Overview
Japan Tobacco International (JTI), we undertook a significant project aimed at enhancing their workplace training through character animation. This ambitious endeavor hinged on harnessing the full potential of Adobe’s creative suite, employing tools such as Adobe Character Animation, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, and Audition.
Central to the success of this project was our unwavering commitment to maintaining impeccable file organization, cleanliness, and meticulous documentation. These principles underpinned a collaborative effort that involved not only myself but also two dedicated Project Managers, a Design Lead, and a talented Motion Graphic Designer, who I mentored during the creation of the first video in a series of three.
One of the foremost challenges we encountered revolved around the acquisition of the necessary expertise to execute these sophisticated animations. Remarkably, our client’s organization had no prior experience in this domain. In response, I assumed the role of a pioneer, delving into the intricacies of Adobe Character Animation and orchestrating a seamless integration of various software components to deliver a tailor-made solution that precisely aligned with JTI’s unique requirements.
The project adhered to a rigorous timeline, typically spanning four to six weeks per video. However, we encountered an unforeseen hurdle when one of our Project Managers faced personal commitments. In a swift and adaptive move, I assumed additional responsibilities to ensure the project’s continuity and punctual delivery, exemplifying our dedication to our client’s objectives.
It is with immense gratification that we recount JTI’s resounding satisfaction with the results of our collaborative efforts. Their endorsement has not only validated the project’s success but also sparked discussions for further engagements, signifying our shared commitment to growth and excellence.
